About the Job and Requirements:
The Director of Sales, will be responsible for OwnLocal’s domestic growth strategy and execution. We are looking for someone with proven expertise at driving sales as an individual contributor and as a sales leader. This individual must have an extensive track record of success in the newspaper industry and have a deep understanding of both the print and digital advertising landscapes. The Director of Sales is a front line, quota carrying, sales role that, depending on experience, may also support the management of the domestic sales team. Candidates should have at least 3-5+ years of advertising and/or enterprise sales experience, previous successful sales management experience, an extensive network with leaders in the newspaper industry, and have a hands-dirty win at all costs entrepreneurial mindset. This role reports to the Chief Revenue Officer.
Start Date and Compensation:
$80K - $100K base DOE, plus significant commission/bonus plan, plus amazing benefits package. We want to fill this position immediately.
