Senior Qt/QML Engineer at Wickr

Do you thrive in an agile development environment? If so, Wickr is looking for a Senior Qt/QML Engineer to take a leading role in developing the next version of our desktop user interface.



Primary Responsibilities:



  • Create a brand new UI for our desktop app usinq QML and Javascript

  • Support development of native Qt desktop client code through the testing and release cycle

  • Support other lower level services and architectures written in C/C++ for desktop computing

  • Design and build secure, reliable software and services

  • Collaborate with peers and design teams to produce high quality products

  • Provide timely, hands-on code contribution and delivery of GUI applications, libraries, API's and documentation


 


Qualifications/Requirements:



  • Minimum of 5 years C++ software development experience

  • Minimum of 2 years JavaScript experience

  • 1-2 years with QML experience specifically

  • Thorough understanding of QML code optimization

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, MacOS and Linux

  • Willingness to take over existing product code base and expand it

  • Strong experience in UI design and usability

  • GIT source control experience is highly desired 

  • Understand Object Oriented Programming concepts and design patterns 

  • Know all phases of software development lifecycle: requirements analysis, technical design, implementation, code review, testing, and release 

  • Be familiar with unit and functional testing 

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Be self-motivated, critical thinker with a strong technical background
