Senior Software Desktop Engineer at Wickr

If so, Wickr is looking for a Senior Desktop Engineer to help create a globally-scalable ecosystem of applications that yield a secure communication and collaboration platform for our users and partners.  

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Architect, design, build and operate scalable software systems and services
  • Quickly propose, prototype, evaluate and optimize features accounting for delivery of digital content discovery and security as well as cloud-based technologies
  • Build and deliver highly available and reliable software on time that is secure and scalable
  • Work with other platform teams to integrate and coordinate releases for the delivery of the Wickr Professional product suite

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of developing enterprise and consumer real-time communications software and related build environments, with a focus on mission critical, low latency multithreaded applications
  • Experience with Microsoft, OSX and Linux client real-time media handling libraries a plus
  • Experience with Qt cross-platform software development
  • Experience developing using C++ and C languages in a cross-platform environment
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git) and continuous integration
  • Experience with automated testing platforms and unit testing
  • Working knowledge of application environments, messaging, high quality design documentation, unit testing and peer code reviews and performance monitoring
  • Strong problem solving skills, adaptability and proactiveness
  • Capable of interacting between distributed system components in order to ensure proper functioning
  • Hands-on code contribution and delivery of libraries, API's and documentation
  • Knowledge of common encryption algorithms and secure coding practices
  • Self-starter who is willing to take ownership with strong communication and verbal skills
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science; Masters Degree a plus
