Office Manager at Soofa
Cambridge, MA, US

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Office Manager to administer much of the accounting tasks of Soofa as well as the administrative function of our growing office. You’ll work quickly and efficiently while ensuring procedures are followed, Quickbooks is in order and that the team is fully supported. Reporting to the VP Operations, you’ll work closely with all groups in Soofa to generate PO’s for new products, coordinate payments to our vendors and administer our financial systems so that we have accurate records. You will be the spirit of the office, making sure that the space and people are in shape. 


What you will be doing:



  • Being the spirit of the office 

  • Keep the office organized & order supplies

  • Organize team activities

  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the team

  • Type accurately, prepare and maintain documents and records

  • Prepare deposits, general ledger postings, and statements

  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner

  • Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database

  • Provide assistance and support to company personnel

  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies

  • Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas

  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws

  • Grow your knowledge of our industry, products, best practices, and your financial skills to enable you to take on increased responsibility and autonomy.


 


You are:



  • In possession of a bachelor’s degree or higher, 1-2 years or more of experience

  • Experience with spreadsheets and financial reports, preferably as an Accounts payable/receivable clerk

  • Confident with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures

  • Able to effectively multi-task and manage deadlines

  • Proven user of MS Office and Quickbooks

  • Well organized with a natural proclivity for exactness and unwilling to settle for anything but accuracy and attention to detail

  • Independent and self-starting, preferring action above all

  • Not intimidated by technology

  • Willing to take on office functions along with your clerical responsibilities

  • Ambitious and want to learn and grow with our startup 

  • Not afraid of learning new technologies 

  • Hardworking and want to get things done what ever it takes
